goalie girl and her brother

makkie's first attempt at playing in net. she LOVED it!!! even though she couldn't get herself up once she'd fallen down. ty went easy on her and 'let' her save a few - such a sweet brother. she's most excited about being goalie again - this time in a real game.

Off To The Pfizer Christmas Party

Prior to Shaun's staff party, we took the kids for a ride in the limo and had them dropped off at their sleep overs. All three were ecstatic, but Tekarra seemed consumed by her excitement. The night was great fun.

The Banser Family Trip To Victoria

Above is a slide show of our trip to Victoria to visit Shaun's Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Ed. We all had a fantastic time. Thank you to both Ed and Dorothy for your hospitality.

Girl's Trip! Yipee!!!!

Saturday 7am Remembrance Day weekend, Kristi and Michelle set off - no exact destination... just south. Our first stop - Westbank Starbucks for a GTL - mmmm. The weekend continued to look up, despite the snowy roads and the 1+ hour border line-up. Shopping was incredible, the sights were well worth it (must not forget the original Starbucks down at Pike Street Market) , the wine - wonderful and the company... incredible. We had a weekend to remember (Seattle was good to us) and have hopes of recreating it in the future.

Makenna and the Warriors

Makenna was fortunate to be picked to be the 7th Man at the Warrior's game. There were 17 of us there to watch her. Initially she was scared and nervous, but once Trevor Bailey (#22 of the Warriors) became her buddy, she warmed up to the idea. She did fantastic (no tears, skates that bothered her or equipment failure)and as biased as I am, I have to say that the pink tape and laces and a 4 year old mini hockey player was far too cute standing next to the 'big' boys. To all you mom's out there just dying to know... yes, I had tears in my eyes. To all you hockey fans... yes, the Warriors won the game.

Bansers at the Nut Farm

We took family pictures in the Nut Farm this year. It was a beautiful day for pictures - wish everyone was smiling at the same time. 150 pictures and 5 people couldn't seem to get it together - hmmmm. Maybe next year.

These are my favourite pictures from the pumpkin patch... well, truthfully, there were lots.

Fall Fun

For our annual family pumpkin patch trip, we discovered McMillan Pumpkin Patch in Kelowna. It was a fantastic day. The kids loved the hay maze and the mini train ride. I loved the sunflowers, photo op's, and wagon ride, Shaun loved... I'll get back to you on that.

more summer fun

our summer has continued to be wonderful - much too fast, but wonderful nevertheless. we've done some camping, roller coasters, cabining, road trips, horseback riding, lots of swimming, water skiing, saw the snowbirds, rock candy mountain mine tour, starbucks, biking and many beaches and parks (not too sure what else we could fit in). there's still one week left in the holidays of which we will make the most of.

first day of summer holidays

It was my first day off for the summer holidays and Makkie, G and I were up and out the door by 8am. to pick strawberries. The berries were fantastic - if only I could keep Ty from eating 5 at a time. My first day off then proceeded to the driving range with Makenna and Ty. It was pretty hot and Ty's 'big bucket' proved to be too much for him (a first). Lastly, we were off to Ty's soccer practise and for Tekarra, a Kelowna Falcons baseball game. Phew!!! What next.....

getting ready for the big show!!!

The girls backstage - make-up on (just a little), hair done, costume adjusted and ready to sing and dance on stage - hip hop for Tekarra, tap for Makenna. The show was fantastic and both girls are looking forward to next year!

Hardy Falls, Peachland

We went on a family field trip to hardy falls to see how the water was flowing. It was flowing!!! This is such a wonderful hike and a favourite place for us to take pictures.

out with the old and in with the new (well... sort of)!!!

14 years later and I finally got my jeep (thanks Donnalynne)!!! Yipee!!! Even though the Nissan was a great little truck, I have to say it wasn't too hard to say goodbye to it. I gave a little wave as it drove away - nope, no tears as I had awaited that day for far too long.

Makenna's first day of soccer

Makkie was sooooo very excited about this day. She'd counted the sleeps leading up to her first ever soccer game. The smile on her face pretty much says it all. I'm thinking we'll have no problem getting her to go back next week.

Tekarra's Figure Skating Festival April 2007

Once again, Tekarra was involved in her year end festival. She had a great season of skating (hence the smile on her face) and we all enjoyed watching her learn her spins and jumps. She's a great little skater. It will be interesting to see what becomes of next season...

Tekarra's First Game of the 2007 Season

I was fortunate enough to capture Tekarra's first goal of the season. It was a chilly April day for us fans, but the girls were unshaken by the weather. It was a great game and Tekarra said that she loved it. Phew!

The Beginning of the Soccer Season

Unfortunately, I missed Ty's first ever goal, but this was one that I did capture. So far, he loves it - more than hockey he says, which I find hard to believe.

Easter Weekend Continued

We raced home from the cabin at Christina Lake, dropped everything and joined 'G' and Uncle Dean for Easter dinner. It was the perfect end to a wonderful weekend.

We even video'd Tekarra having her tooth pulled and uploaded it onto youtube. It's never a dull moment around us.

Easter Weekend 2007

We spent this weekend at Christina Lake with Nana, Papa, Uncle Turtle, Auntie Kristi and Cash. The weather was fantastic, the camp fires were warm and welcoming, the Easter egg hunts were perfect and aside from the hot and cold nights, we had a wonderful time.
